How We Revitalize Your Bathtub's Surface
Our refinishing process includes the following steps:
1. Remove all caulking around the tub so we can get edge-to-edge.
2. Acid wash the surface using an etching compound.
3. Tape/paper off the work area.
4. Set up ventilation to minimize odors, dust, and dirt.
5. Repair any chips, cracks, or damage to the surface (including rust).
6. Apply 2-3 coats of sealer primer.
7. Apply 5-6 coats of a high gloss top coat.
8. Final clean up, removal of tape/paper, re-caulk area as needed.

Bathtubs refinished by TubMan Bathtub Refinishing are covered with a full five-year warranty. Bathroom and kitchen sinks, tile walls and floors, countertops, tub bottoms, and appliances are covered with a one-year warranty. This warranty covers peeling, cracking, or other failures of adhesion by the coating subject to the following conditions:
1. If possible, please do not enter the work area for at least five hours after the work is complete.
2. Do not touch the surface or get it wet for forty-eight hours after the surface is applied.
3. Do not let excess water remain on the surface during the first two weeks.
4. Do not remove the tape or the paper after the work is complete.
5. No abrasive cleaners are to be used. We recommend Barkeeper’s Friend for cleaning.
6. Wet objects such as washcloths or soap bars are not to be continually left on the surface. No bath mats are to be used.
7. Physical damage, such as chips or scratches caused by falling objects, tools, or mistreatment, is not covered.
8. Staining caused by chemicals such as dyes or hair treatments or dripping faucets is specifically not covered.
9. This warranty does not cover any damage due to plumbing problems, shower doors, mildew of caulk, problems caused by shower mats, structural conditions, or movement of fixtures, tile, grout, or caulk. In the event of adhesion failure, TubMan Bathtub Refinishing will either be redone or repaired at our option.
Color
The standard color for refinishing is white. Any other color besides white requires mixing and MUST BE APPROVED BY THE CUSTOMER PRIOR TO REFINISHING: Please choose carefully, as the color, once applied, cannot be changed without completely refinishing the entire bathtub again (at the owner's expense.)
Electrical and Plumbing
Our technicians are not trained, equipped, licensed, or authorized to do electrical or plumbing work. If they remove any fixtures or appliances at your request, it is done solely as a courtesy. Any responsibility for damages is yours. Our technician will remove or loosen handles, spouts, and drain pieces. In these cases, we will be responsible for returning the fixtures to their original locations unless the age or decay of pipes or fixtures makes it impossible. New fixtures can be installed after forty-eight hours of drying time is allowed, but alert your plumber so that he can take extra care.
Paint and Wallpaper
If you are re-painting or re-wallpapering, please wait until after refinishing. In order to protect paint and wallpaper, we must mask it. When removed, the masking tape can be expected to occasionally pull up small pieces of the surface it is stuck to. If you wish to preserve the existing wallpaper or paint, please alert the technician, but even then, damage may occur. We will not be held responsible for replacing your wallpaper or touch-up paint.
Terms-Due Upon Completion
We accept cash, checks, or credit cards. On the final day of the job, the technician will present you with an invoice for the work. Please plan to either be there on the final day to inspect the work and take care of the payment or arrange payment in advance.
